The Catholic chaplaincy is part of the UTS
Multi-faith Chaplaincy Service which hosts regular forums
on topics developing a conversation around values and action in the university
community.
The Catholic chaplaincy is supported by the Archdiocese
of Sydney and UTS Student
Services Unit which offers many forms of assistance to staff and students
including counselling, health, housing and other practical assistance
in academic as well as personal difficulties.

Fr
Peter Maher
Fr Peter Maher was Catholic Chaplain at the University of
Technology, Sydney and Multifaith chaplaincy representative
at the University of Technology, Sydney till March 2009. He
is chaplain to the Australian Catholic Movement for Intellectual
and Cultural Affairs and Parish Priest at St Joseph's Newtown.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Theology from the Catholic
Institute of Sydney and Masters in Education (Adult Education)
from the University of Technology, Sydney.

How to find Multifaith Rooms and
Chaplaincy Office:
From UTS Union desk on Level 3 Cafeteria go towards building 2 (west)
past Student Association and on the blue wall at the end of the
corridor you will see the Centre. You can also get there
from the other side past the Concourse cafe, Housing and Careers
